Random Records presents UP AND COMING CHILDREN, dedicated to the kids; those with a fresh attitude, new on the scene, ready to take over and push things forward.

Tells Snax, “I called a session with Alessandro and Jules of The Snackettes at Jules’ studio for a freeform jam session. What resulted was a ragged yet tight dance floor treat with unusual chord progressions I wouldn’t have come up with on my own. The lyrics concern my constant irritation with purists. See, in any scene, there are always those who think only they know the proper or right ways of doing things...whether it be how to enjoy themselves, how to throw a party, how to produce, or hell, even how to dance. The essence of being Up And Coming means bucking up against all that snobbery. The Children say, feel free to languish in your tired old ways, sukkas. We’ll be continuing to shake things up, forever on our way to the garden of delight.”

Also featured on this latest EP are three new tracks which rock the floor in ever more exciting ways. “150%” is a soul stomper, espousing the joys of being a hot head over a hard beat. “Nothing To Yourself” breaks it down to slower, but no less grinding, territory, as Snax assures his next lover that resistance is futile. Finally, “Phantom Voice” recalls Snax’s earlier work, emerging from the sleazier corners of the world waving his P.Funk flag high.

Snax also has the pleasure of presenting remixes for “Children” from two equally legendary sources. Hard Ton brings an ecstatic 90’s house vibe to the table with a shimmering re-sing by larger than life vocalist Max. On the darker side come Per QX and Elias Bravo, whose sound recalls London’s super party of the moment Gutterslut, where Per is resident.
